Dorinda Brogadir separated from the United States Air Force, where she served in the medical field and deployed to Iraq in the Second Persian Gulf War. She has a BS in Biology from the University of Maryland, and a Master’s in Education from the University of Maryland.

After the Air Force, Dorinda focused on teaching ESL High School students in Fairfax County, and currently works at an early childhood education center, and is a mentor in the Mindful Mama Mentorship program. She has a passion for service, mindfulness, and equity for all. She discovered the Veterans Yoga Project during the pandemic and has become a weekly yoga participant in VYP classes. Being the Director of DEI at VYP enables Dorinda to continue to serve, while supporting the mental health and wellness of our veterans and first responders.
