We are committed to a responsible use of funds:

VYP is committed to using the funding we receive in the best possible way and employs a veritable army of volunteers to do so. Our staff and volunteers are passionate, hardworking, and dedicated to getting yoga to the people who need it. But we need help. Funding classes and retreats, sponsoring big projects, spreading the word far and wide, hosting events, and providing scholarships for training can only be achieved with your help.

VYP is led from the front by Executive Director Dr. Daniel J. Libby, an incredible and dedicated staff, and an indispensable team of volunteers on a national level. In addition, each region has its own Regional Director, who is in charge of funding as well as the boots on the ground in their area — ensuring local  programs and teachers have the support and access they need to get VYP Mindful Resilience, tools, and courses, to as many military members, veterans, caregivers, families, and communities as possible.

The Donor Bill of Rights:

Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the not-for-profit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have these rights.

Any Contribution Impacts in a Big Way - Here’s How:

Bring Yoga to Veterans, Active Duty Military, First Responders and Our Communities:
More Funding = More Classes

In every region, VYP actively partners with VA facilities, Veterans Centers, universities, on-post active duty installations, veterans treatment courts, veterans service organizations, and many others to provide Mindful Resilience classes throughout the US. These classes teach yoga and mindfulness tools as a complementary treatment for PTS(D) and other mental health challenges, as well as a technology for facilitating post-traumatic growth.

Teacher Training:
More Teachers = Greater Access to Yoga for Military Populations

VYP provides advanced training in Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery Teacher Training and Compassion Fatigue for yoga teachers and healthcare professionals across the US. This Mindful Resilience Training provides teachers with skills to safely and effectively use yoga as a complementary therapy in clinical settings. Scholarships are provided to yoga teachers and caregivers within our community as funding allows. Teachers are provided with training and ongoing support so they can teach these mind-body skills to veterans in their community.

Mindful Resilience 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training for Veterans:

VYP’s newest initiative is a Mindful Resilience 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training for Veterans. This program, provides veterans with the knowledge, skills, experience, and support needed to achieve the basic entry-level requirement for yoga teacher positions and have the added skills and practicum experience to teach veterans yoga safely and effectively in both trauma-sensitive treatment settings and active duty military settings.
