Calvin is an accomplished nonprofit strategist with a passion for fundraising, operations, partnership and business development. Holding a B.S. in Business Administration from Jackson State University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, Calvin brings a solid mix of education and experience to his work.

As the Director of Development, Calvin is dedicated to supporting our organization that help marginalized communities and promote positive social impact. With a personal connection as a military brat, he holds a deep admiration for our brave men and women who have served in the military. Calvin’s love for yoga as a restorative practice and its positive impact on mental health further fuels his commitment to the Veterans Yoga Project.

With expertise in driving sustainable growth, Calvin implements effective fundraising strategies, forges strategic partnerships, and develops operational efficiencies to maximize the Veterans Yoga Project’s potential. His goal is to ensure that the organization can continue to empower veterans, helping them overcome challenges, improve mental and physical well-being, and find healing and resilience on their journey.

Calvin’s contributions to the nonprofit sector have earned him recognition, including the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award for Healthy Futures, highlighting his commitment to creating a healthier and more equitable society. Additionally, his professional achievements include obtaining the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification, showcasing his dedication to excellence in fundraising practices.
