Jessica began loving the technology career field whilst working as a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live technician and achieving her bachelor’s in Business Administration with a MIS minor from Oklahoma State University. During her career in IT, she has served as a helpdesk technician, system admin, network admin, adaptive technology implementer, and completed the State of Oklahoma’s District Attorneys Council implementation of a state-wide case management system for 75 of the 77 counties.

Jessica decided to join the Air Guard of Oklahoma where she served 10 honorable years as a guardsman/reservist and holds all certifications for a 7 level 3D0X3, Cyber Surety airman, to include ISSO and COMSEC Manager. (This means her middle name is “non-disclosure”) In 2006, SSgt Meyers was hand-picked to create the Information Assurance Office at the 138th Fighter Wing, Tulsa IAP where she and her team established what has since been implemented Air Guard-wide as the approved DISA directives for information security protocols. While serving her country she also pursued her MBA.

Finding her niche in security, Jessica has been a Cybersecurity Evangelist for over 12 years in oil and gas, energy, global retail, simulator modification for DoD, healthcare, and is now a professor of cybersecurity for the next generation of cybersecurity warriors. As a leader in cybersecurity field, she is recognized for her CISSP, CCSA, CESC, and CHPSE certifications. Jessica began mentoring women in the T of STEM as well as Cybersecurity to continue promoting women in the field with speaking engagements, annual participation in Oklahoma’s Information Security Summits, and local community engagements such as STEM Cafes offered by the local high schools.

Jessica joined the world of yoga after a traumatic motorcycle accident in 2018, where she experienced not only the pain relief but the many limbs of the practice. This stimulated her to attend the Mindful Resilience Training from VYP (2021) and onto her 200hr certification training with the Hawaii Yoga Institute (2021). These yoga specific certifications added to her Elite Trainer status with ISSA as a personal trainer (CPT), a Youth/Senior Lifespan Coach and Yoga Instructor (CYI) certifications she achieved during COVID shutdown. Jessica finds great joy being highly involved in veteran organizations and is enthusiastic about working as the Director of IT/IS for Veterans Yoga Project to serve those who serve.
