Sherrell honorably served as an aviation operations specialist in the United States Army. During her enlistment, she began experiencing excruciating back pain. At the recommendation of her doctor, she tried yoga and began practicing regularly to ease her chronic pain.
Sherrell has a Master’s degree in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University and over 20 years of public service. She is registered with the National Yoga Alliance as an experienced registered yoga teacher, E-RYT-200. She has taught over 1,000 hours of classes and workshops for organizations like the Arthritis Foundation, Black Girl Health Foundation, Atlanta VA Medical Center, Jack & Jill of America, District of Columbia Public Schools, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and various local churches.
