Allen Rosenberg, USMC, Korean War.
Dad joined the Marines in January but left for boot camp on the 4th of July, 1952. His favorite line is “They heard I was coming!” as they signed the Armistice Agreement while he was mid-sea on his way over.
Dad spent his retirement helping other veterans, many of them from Vietnam, get to doctor’s appointments, access benefits and just being a friend to guys who had a hard time being a friend to anyone else. Nowadays he gets to reap the rewards of a life well-lived with his daughter and son-in-law, a dog and two cats, all of whom love him very much.
