Albert J. Jeannette — World War II Army Veteran
With pride, gratitude, and honor, we recognize Albert Joseph Jeannette, who answered the call to serve his country during World War II.
He enlisted in the United States Army on July 23, 1943, and faithfully served until February 23, 1946. Although Albert never served overseas and remained on American soil, his contribution to the war effort was no less meaningful. Stationed in Florida, he served as an Army truck driver, helping transport the supplies and materials essential to supporting military operations during one of the most consequential periods in our nation’s history.
Behind every soldier on the front lines stood countless service members whose dedication, hard work, and commitment kept the military moving forward. My Dad, Albert, was one of those men. His service represents the quiet strength, sense of duty, and steadfast patriotism of a generation that stepped forward when their country needed them.
Military service is measured not only by where a soldier served, but by the commitment with which he answered his nation’s call. We honor Albert Joseph Jeannette for his service, recognize his contribution to the World War II effort, and remember with pride the role he played in defending our nation’s freedom.
His service mattered. His sacrifice deserves recognition. His legacy lives on with honor.
